He pulled away, leaving Todd lying there, on the grass, staring up at him with needy eyes and a pulse that was racing faster than a racehorse on steroids. Dammit, the way Copper made him feel was so confusing. Todd didn’t know what to say around him. His mind wasn’t sure what actions to take—but his body knew just what to do, apparently.
He rolled up off the ground and snuggled tight to Copper, resting his chin on his shoulder and looking all cute and innocent without even trying. His heart was whispering devilish things in his ear, and Todd was all too happy to oblige it.
“T-take me somewhere, anywhere,” he said, snuggling tighter to him. Todd was suddenly shy and a light blush graced his face, but he smiled encouragingly up at Copper anyways. “P-please…?” Todd’s tone wavered and turned a bit pleading—his heart was drifting more and more into a desperate, I-want-this-now place, and the boy was helpless to it’s desires, because secretly…they were Todd’s desires too.
In a sudden rush to get out of there, the boy lurched to his feet and grabbed Copper’s hand, pulling him with him as he started to wander off in the direction of the Inn…unless Copper had somewhere else in mind. Mama had said she had things to do, so the suite would be empty. And anyways, Todd’s room had a lock on it.
“C’mon, my place is close by.”
Trying to slow down his breathing once more, Copper inhaled through his nose and exhaled through his mouth. His heart was still beating faster than normal and he still felt a bit warm, though. Those would pass soon though, so he wasn’t worried about that. Everything had been moving so fast that he needed a moment, a breather, so sort out his head. Everything, this situation, the emotions, all clouded his head, but he was managing to sort through them. This didn’t need to be complicated, did it? It could be simple, if he wanted it to be. If he stopped over-thinking things.
Not a moment later, and Todd was also sitting up. Copper didn’t hesitate to wrap his arms around the other boy. The pink tint that had remained on his cheeks brightened slightly once more at what Todd was saying. He was about to ask Todd if he was sure, but as he looked at the other boy, he caught that bright smile on his face, that pleading tone… Copper bit his lip slightly. Was this really okay? They had only just met, but he already found that he felt…safe around Todd, moreso than around most other people.
These feelings, and that nagging sensation at the back of his mind that told him that Todd was familiar, had to have some truth to them, didn’t they? After all, no one on the island really remembered anything of their pasts. For all Copper knew, he and Todd had known each other in their lives before the island, and that was why he felt so comfortable around him, even despite the fact that they barely knew each other. He felt like he knew Todd really well, and he got the feeling that Todd could feel that too.
Before he could even give a proper answer, Todd was up on his feet and pulling Copper up with him, grabbing a hold of his hand. Copper couldn’t help but smile at the boundless energy Todd seemed to have. It was again both familiar and comforting, as well as refreshing since no one else that he knew had such energy about them. “Alright,” he agreed, keeping up beside Todd, and absently adjusting his hand so that their fingers intertwined.
Hi, Kiara. It’s nice t’ meet you, too.

How long have you been on the island?
Well that’s…odd. We could try and find a way to turn you back?
Sshhh. It’s okay, everything will be fine. /pets.I don’t know. *hiccups* M-maybe…
*snuggles* I really do love you, Copper.
Well, we’d need to find out what really caused it first… And magic. I didn’t even know that really existed.
I love you too. We’ll figure this out, so don’t worry, alright?
